Dell Studio range released

The Dell Studio - available now!

At the end of June, Dell unveiled their latest range of computers. The ‘Studio’ brand is slated as a unique new product line that fuses together vivid colours and cutting edge design to create beautiful aesthetics.

‘People seeking stunning design, brilliant colours and innovative new technology find inspiration in Dell’s new Studio brand,’ said Michael Tatelman, Vice President of Dell consumer sales and marketing worldwide.

Initially the Studio range of products will include two different stylised laptops: the Dell Studio 15 and the Dell Studio 17. Available in a number of striking colours – Dell hopes that these laptops will represent the future design of laptop computers.

These laptops come equipped with the same advanced Dell technology that is typical of other Dell computers. Super-quick processing power, built-in webcam, touch control media-buttons, optical mercury-free LED displays and built-in mobile broadband.

The key advantage of the Studio range is their design. Dell has already forged an enviable reputation for quality hardware and providing a wide range of software – it is in the contours and colours of the Studio range that it really stands out.

You can opt to choose between the 15” or 17”-inch high-definition displays and you can select one of six optional colours. These are Plum Purple, Tangerine Orange, Flamingo Pink, Midnight Blue, Ruby Red, Spring Green and standard Jet Black. The difference with Studio is that you will still have a quality laptop – but this time it is dripping with fashionably ‘cool’ design.

Dell Laptop Reviews

Dell Inspiron 6000

“So, I had been searching around for a laptop for the last couple of months. My younger brother was off to university and my parents had decided to give him a laptop as a present for passing his exams (and hoping that he would use it for his studying). Well after spending ages going around lots of different internet sites, I finally decided that we should go for the Dell Inspiron 6000, it was simply the best all round package that I could find. It was pretty quick, with a 1.6Ghz Pentium M 730 in it and the battery life was really good with a 6-cell lithium which should last for a while. We haven’t had any complaints from my brother either.”

Dell XPS M1330

“I remember what laptop computers used to look like: big and cumbersome and with a battery that could set your trousers on fire after ten minutes. Now I have got my Dell XPS M1330, I am just asking myself why I bothered persevering with my old thing for so long. The XPS M1330 is packed full of features, with a 64GB solid state hard drive, 4GBs of RAM and a 8400GS video card which along with its Intel Core 2 Duo gives it a bit of a punch. But the best thing of all is how it looks, they told me that it was going to be thin, but this has to be seen to be believed. Mine has come in a cool midnight blue colour and to be honest I am over the moon with it.”

Dell's XPS M1730

“There are a load of laptop out there which claim to be part of a gaming range and simply aren’t. Although the Dell XPS M1730 is not perfect, it still has a few features that make it stand out as one of the best. There was quite a bit of fuss when it first came out about its ability to handle complex mathematics, with its inbuilt physics processor. To put it simply, it was apparently going to run faster than other computers because it could cope with doing more stuff at the same time. Well, when I tried out the XPS M1730, I have to say I was impressed. I upgraded some of the components and after a while I can safely say it is one of the most capable gaming products that I’ve been on. I’m waiting for their next release right now!”

Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop

“The Dell MediaDirect software that came with my Insprion 1525 laptop is great. Without having to turn on Windows, and wait for everything to load up I can listen to my music or put my films on. It is a little bit like having a DVD player or a CD player – which I like because watching all your films on the computer never seems to be quite as good. So – I’d suggest you try out the MediaDirect software, it’s pretty damn good.”
